The goal of the Positive Organizing Project is to increase grassroots mobilization and engagement among people living with HIV within service delivery systems to:
- directly impact stigma,
- improve the policy and community environment for inclusive and effective HIV programs, and
- indirectly improve outcomes along the continuum of care.
AIDS United will support projects via two tracks, both of which are built on meaningful involvement of people living with HIV (MIPA):
- Building a MIPA-driven Organization: projects focused on concrete activities to strengthen the organizational practices and that operationalize MIPA values at the organizational level.
- MIPA-driven Grassroots Projects: projects focused on specific grassroots activities that involve the leadership of people living with HIV.
